DETROIT, Mich. — A Lions victory over the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday at Ford Field in Detroit would earn fans a free snack the next day from a homegrown chicken chain.
Detroit Wing Company says it will give each customer an order of five boneless wings at no charge on Monday, Nov. 2, if the Lions come out ahead on Sunday, Nov. 1. The deal runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at participating Michigan stores, limited to one per person, and app users can claim it with the code WEWON.
The chain has more than a dozen locations in the state, mostly around metro Detroit. Gus Malliaras started the business 11 years ago in Eastpointe, and its menu leans on wings, tenders and mac and cheese.
The company also promotes a lineup of more than 20 signature sauces made in house from fresh ingredients rather than bottled. A standing game-day tray bundles 18 boneless wings, two dips and a large side for $19.99.
