ANN ARBOR, Mich. — College tennis takes over Ann Arbor for the next four days as the Big Ten men’s Individual Championships begin Thursday at the University of Michigan’s tennis center.
Play runs from Oct. 29 through Sunday, Nov. 1. All 14 conference teams are sending players, who will fill a singles bracket of 64 and a doubles bracket of 32.
Nebraska brings eight singles entries and three doubles teams. Aniss Rafiq leads the Huskers at 5-2 in singles this fall after reaching the round of 32 at the ITA All-American Championships.
Wisconsin is sending six players, and the weekend will be the final fall event for that group. Collin Beduhn has the best Badgers record of the fall at 6-3, and the team has already played four tournaments this autumn.
The event is an individual tournament, so there are no team scores. It gives coaches across the league a last look at their lineups before the dual-match season arrives in the new year.
