ANN ARBOR, Mich. — U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders is set to take the Michigan Theater stage Monday, Oct. 26, for an Ann Arbor town hall aimed at students, part of a late campaign push for Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed.
The program, titled Students vs. Billionaires and put on by More Perfect University, starts at 6 p.m. at the theater on East Liberty Street, with doors opening at 4 p.m. It includes a talk by the Vermont independent and a question-and-answer session, and organizers require guests to register in advance.
The Ann Arbor stop caps a three-city Michigan trip. Sanders rallies with El-Sayed in Grand Rapids on Sunday and visits Alpena on Monday afternoon before arriving in Ann Arbor. Each event is set to stream on his social media accounts.
El-Sayed faces Republican Mike Rogers, a former member of Congress, on Nov. 3.
