ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Drivers in Ann Arbor Township face another week of detours and narrowed lanes starting Monday, Oct. 19, as crews begin reconstruction on three township roads while the Warren Road Bridge over US-23 stays closed.

Intermittent lane restrictions run Oct. 19 through Oct. 30 on Warren Road from Whitmore Lake Road to Pontiac Trail, on Gleaner Hall Road between Warren Road and Pontiac Trail, and on Joy Road between Whitmore Lake Road and US-23. The Washtenaw County Road Commission lists all three as road reconstruction jobs.

The bridge itself has been shut since March 23 for state bridge work, and its reopening target has been pushed back to Nov. 15. Shoulders on both directions of US-23 at Warren Road stay closed through that date as well.

Elsewhere in the township, a pathway project keeps lanes closed on Dixboro Road between Arrowhead Drive and Plymouth Road through Nov. 6, and Foster Road between Newport Road and Huron River Drive gets milling and resurfacing Oct. 22-27. Eastbound M-14 from Newport Road to the northbound US-23 business route remains down a lane until mid-November.

Across the county, westbound I-94 drops to one fewer lane on Oct. 20 in Ypsilanti, from Michigan Avenue to Grove Road, and the schedule lists full closures in Salem, Ypsilanti, Lima and York townships. The commission says all dates can shift because of weather.
