ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Four Ann Arbor high school football teams play their last regular-season games this week, with the state playoff field to be announced just days later.
Father Gabriel Richard, at 5-3, hosts Detroit Country Day, which carries the same record. The Fighting Irish entered the week with 41.875 MHSAA playoff points, good for a spot among the 32 best in their division, the cutoff for making the bracket.
Huron, at 2-6, welcomes Rochester Hills Stoney Creek, a 6-2 team holding 66.875 playoff points. Skyline, 1-7, is at home against 5-3 Brooklyn Columbia Central. Pioneer, 3-5, travels to 4-4 Bloomfield Hills.
These games are the last shot at better seeding or a late climb into the bracket. Pairings come out Sunday, Oct. 25, in a 5 p.m. MHSAA broadcast, and district semifinals follow on Oct. 30 and 31. Finals are scheduled Nov. 27-28 at Ford Field in Detroit.
