ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Destination Ann Arbor, the nonprofit that markets Washtenaw County to visitors and event planners, has picked up two national honors from the meetings business this fall.

Meetings Today named the group one of the best MidAmerica convention and visitor bureaus for the fifth consecutive year, a run that started in 2022. The publication bases the picks on polling of meeting professionals and reviews of destinations.

Northstar Meetings Group gave the bureau a Silver Stella Award in its Best CVB/DMO (Regional), Midwest category. That is a step up from the Bronze Stella the bureau took home in 2025. Northstar pointed to its personalized planning help, accessibility resources and links to local experiences.

The honors follow a strong sales year. Meetings the bureau signed up in 2025 should put visitors in upward of 50,000 hotel rooms across the county in the years ahead, a haul it pegs at an estimated $24.4 million in spending. Conferences already landed for 2027 include the Women in Travel Summit.

President and CEO Sarah Miller credited the full staff for the recognition, and sales and service director Al Snow said the awards reflect day-to-day service to planners.
